What will your grandchildren’s grandchildren think of today’s decisions?
Seven generations can pass in the blink of an eye. That’s why Indigenuity thinks ahead, generationally.
Project Examples
PREP Pilot Project: Indigenuity piloted a pre-ratification engagement program to help community members better understand the risks and rewards of settlements, and facilitated community-driven strategic consensus building.
Traditional Territories Mapping:
Steffen and Sydney designed and implemented a unique traditional territories mapping project that involved both the First Nation and the Métis Local, a significant collaboration that trained and employed 6 people to conduct land use and occupancy interviews with Elders and other resource users. The results enabled us to illustrate not only contemporary traditional territories for the community as a whole, but also which elements related to First Nation rights and/or Métis rights. This has had applicability with respect to land use planning in the area.
Negotiations, Implementation and Transparency: Indigenuity’s principals and associates have worked with several communities across various stages of the launching and resolution of claims, the negotiation and implementation of agreements, and the facilitation of effective communications with members and the public.
